Kabbalah Of The Tree of Life 🌳

In one of the most important, yet enigmatic stories in the Torah, Adam & Eve are in the Garden of Eden. They were instructed by G-d not to eat from the fruit of the tree of knowledge. After listening to the serpent and eating from the fruit, there is the fall of humanity in which we are all here to correct.

Kabbalah explains that the tree of life and the tree of knowledge was in fact one tree that became separated into, the "Tree of Life" and the "Tree of Knowledge of good and bad".

As we know the Torah can be understood on 4 levels called "the Pardes". On the literal level, the tree was a physical one, which the commentators say rose 500 years in height and width (huge!).

In the Zohar, Kabbalah explains that the tree represents the unification between the male/female dimensions of the 6 Sefirot called Zeir Anpin and Malchut- Kingship. There is another opinion that the tree represents the two facets of Keter- the Divine meta-conscious level of the Sefirot.

The sin of the Garden of Eden was the sin of separating these two realities from their unified oneness. The intrinsic connection which Adam had with his Godly source was self doubted, this opened the potential of the serpent to enter his mind and heart.

Returning To The Tree of Life means an elevation and evolution of our dual consciousness to a place of embodying the inner unity which prevails with our hearts and the heart of the universe.
