The sign of the month is a Virgo, a feminine sign, and there are tremendous energy and potential in this month that is specifically connected to the feminine.

The acronym of the month of Elul is from a verse in Song of Songs, "I Am To My Beloved and My Beloved Is To Me". "I Am To My Beloved"  is Kabbalistically referred to as "The elevation of feminine waters", accessing our own free will, digging deep within ourselves, connecting to our soul, and when we do this work we get a corresponding downflow of energy from above for the new year ahead. 

This month is a time of preparation and reflection as we gear up for Rosh Hashana, the new year and we will discuss how to best prepare for a great new year.
