The Holy Leper - Why is Moshiach called a leper?

In this week's Torah portion we learn about the above nature skin ailment called tzar'at- leprosy. The Talmud relates that Moshiach is called the "leper of the house of David who is found by the gates of Rome". The question is why would Moshiach need to feel the pain of leprosy usually accorded to one who has spoken slanderously against his fellow friend? In today's class, we will explored the Kabbalistic correlation of Moshiach to leprosy, and to the connection of the transcendent lights of Tohu, chaos, and the light of Tikkun, fixing.
