Changing of The Guard- Elections, Avraham & Moshiach

In the Torah portion- Parsha of Lech Lecha, we learn about Avraham, the first Jew Hashem told to go to a land unknown to him- Lech Lecha. Hashem promises Avraham the land of Israel, the land of the ten nations. While Israel is currently situated on the land of the seven nations, we are told that the borders of Israel will expand to include the Keini, Knizi, and Jevuzi land (trans-Jordan and beyond). On a spiritual level, the conquest of the three lands represents the meta-conscious realms of existence and their inheritance, the Geula- redemption and Moshiach. We all know that what happens in the land of Israel affects the entire world. On a spiritual level, the Talmud says that the world "drinks" from the concentrate of Isreal. After five election cycles, a solid right-wing government is poised to be in power for the next four years. Are we on the cusp of redemption? What can these changes of the guard mean to us in our lives?
